Clinical Usage Instructions (IFU) — PA-Files (Manual Glide Path Files)
PA-Files are manual instruments. Usage is similar to manual K-files:
-
Step 1: Explore the root canal with an ISO 8 or 10 K-file.
-
Step 2: Use #013 (0.13/2%) with manual rotary advancement to enlarge the pathway.
-
Step 3: Continue enlargement with #016 (0.16/2%).
-
Step 4: Final enlargement with #019 (0.19/2%) to achieve a pathway approximating ISO size 19.
-
Step 5: Once the glide path is established, proceed to the rotary shaping system.
Important Notes:
-
PA-Files are made of nickel-titanium (NiTi), offering superior flexibility compared to stainless steel manual files, making them safer for use in curved canals.
-
However, NiTi manual files must not be over-rotated. It is recommended that rotation does not exceed 90°.
